Performance and Applications:

EDTMPS is a nitrogen‑containing organic polyphosphonate that functions as a cathodic corrosion inhibitor. Compared with inorganic polyphosphates, it exhibits a corrosion inhibition efficiency 3 to 5 times higher. It is fully miscible with water, non‑toxic and environmentally benign, and demonstrates excellent chemical stability and thermal resistance, maintaining effective scale‑inhibition even at 200°C. In aqueous solution, EDTMPS dissociates into eight cationic and anionic species, enabling it to chelate multiple metal ions and form large, polymeric, network‑like complexes. These complexes disperse loosely in water, disrupting the normal crystallization of calcium scale, while also delivering outstanding scale‑inhibition performance against calcium sulfate and barium sulfate deposits.

EDTMPS is used as a corrosion and scale inhibitor for circulating water and boiler water, a complexing agent in cyanide-free electroplating, and a chelating agent and oxygen‑bleach stabilizer in the textile printing and dyeing industry.

Instructions for use:

When EDTMPS is dosed alone in recirculating cooling water, the typical dosage is 2–10 mg/L. After being compounded with HPMA at a ratio of 1:3, it can be used for in‑boiler water treatment in low‑pressure boilers. EDTMPS can also be formulated in combination with BTA, PAAS, zinc salts, and other agents.

Packaging and Storage:

EDTMPS is packaged in plastic drums, with each drum containing 25 kg or 250 kg, or as specified by the customer. Store in a cool, indoor location; the shelf life is twelve months.

Security Protection:

HEDP is an acid; take appropriate personal protective measures during handling, and avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
