Performance and Applications:
HEDP·Na₂ It is an organic phosphonic acid-based scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions, such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on metal surfaces. HEDP·Na₂ In 250℃ It can still effectively inhibit corrosion and scale formation under conditions of high… pH It remains highly stable under normal conditions, is resistant to hydrolysis, and generally does not decompose under typical light or thermal exposure. Its resistance to acids and alkalis, as well as its chlorine‑oxidation stability, is superior to that of other organic phosphonic acids (salts). It can form six-membered chelate rings with metal ions in water, particularly calcium ions, thereby delivering excellent scale‑inhibition performance and exhibiting a pronounced solubility‑limit effect. When used in combination with other water‑treatment agents, it demonstrates an ideal synergistic effect.
HEDP·Na₂ It is widely used for scale inhibition and corrosion control in industrial circulating cooling water systems—such as those in the power, chemical, metallurgical, and fertilizer industries—as well as in medium- and low-pressure boilers, oilfield water injection systems, and oil pipelines.
HEDP·Na₂ In the light‑textile industry, it can serve as a cleaning agent for both metallic and nonmetallic materials; in the dyeing and bleaching industries, it functions as a peroxide stabilizer and a color‑fixing agent; and in cyanide‑free electroplating, it acts as a complexing agent.
